The Walking Flower

Said a daisy to a daisy,
A lazy day in May,
I’m in distress,
I must confess,
I’m tired of the way,

What’s a flower to have power
If a shower bends my stalk?
Time to digress,
And make progress,
I’ll teach my roots to walk,

“You’re crazy!” said the other,
Little daisy to his brother,

Be what you are and not bizarre,
Lest you mar convention,
And I am wry,
To think you lie,
You just want attention,

“Jerk,” replied the other,
Quirky daisy to his brother,

While you stay still, I’ll try this skill,
