About This Poem
I Must Submit
I have strayed,
betrayed,
let my soul out of your control,
oh how this has destroyed what I know.
Just days, moments,
each second I became more lost,
deep inside I was dying,
knowing I helplessly fought.
My soul is meant to submit,
to follow what I know is true,
to give up my life,
my decisions are up to you.
Dying deep inside,
I've feared this despair,
I know that I must come back,
but I am so scared.
Please accept me stained,
broken by this life,
I know I have forgotten,
how you have forgiven before.
This submissive soul in me,
was never meant to run away,
I have been reminded now,
that you truly lead the way.
