Stubborn As A Mule (Sijo)

Mule kicked and bucked so high, its
hind legs seemed to reach the sky...
Suffering from many a thing, but vowed 
to suffer war no more,
Soldiers differing with the stubborn 
beast, learned to sit in peace...

    I like the twist in the last couple of lines. The internal rhyming pattern certainly give it a special kick. This one has a great sense of humor. Great job! ~Joseph
