S.W.A.T.

The call comes in to meet
To rendezvous at a secret place
I quickly get suited up
And take my rifle from its case

As we drive down the road
All huddled up in a van
Checking our equipment
Preparing to execute the plan

As we approach the house
Not knowing what lies ahead
With a halligan in hand
they lie asleep in bed

The battering ram strikes
as break and rake hooks crash
Confusion fills the air
with broken shards of glass

Securing hands in zip-cuffs
The METH-lab’s still hot
Just another night
In the life of S.W.A.T.

Hmmm...sounds a bit dangerous. Well written though. Not sure I would like that kind of life but thank goodness for the people who do it. Their job is very important. You have an ability to express realtiy very well in your words. Love C

We are lucky to have brave men who are willing to risk their lives to ensure our safety, Tyler. Love the way your story unfolded in verse. Happy Easter!

Strong force of energy here, Tyler! The enforcement side of things doesn't get enough play, in my mind. I think this works very well as a fly-on-the-wall perspective behind the back mask. The only way we're gonna take this country back is by mending bridges: civilian and police officer, prisoner and guard, teacher and student. Warm regards, John.
