A Whisper

With the softest voice ,she speaks.
A simple caress implied.
My mind races with thoughts ,of exctassy,
vision blurred,I tried.
Shadows of glimpses,caught ,
some how, not heard.
The pure pleasure ,
the pain,
of the mere, spoken word.
Time hinges,on a thought,percieved
Whispers of the Love recieved.
Solid now in form and feel,
the word is a bond,
I know is real.
The heart given ,as it speaks,
a Whisper,
the soul yet seeks.

How beautifully you describe the depths of our hearts and how deep it is to touch the depths of heart and soul of another we love. So easily broken, so strongly guarded, so hard to reach... Lovely indeed! Thanks for your kindness of commenting my writes, Anna-Marie.

Indeed, "the word is a bond" for those of us who write. Some people are not good with words, but their actions ("A simple caress") can mean even more. You gave me something to think about tonight, Jim. Thank you!

Once again, your poetry speaks to the heart. And that is the goal and the good.

Appropriately delicate words for a delicate feeling full of delicate imageries. Thanks for your tribute too. Sometimes my faith whispers seductively, and illusively as the shadows in your poem, but they whisper to a solid Rock ... the Word that is God. Peace and love
