Cool Breezes

It starts as the merest hint,
chasing autumn leaves around,
whirlwinds of orange
and yellows,
and of earthly brown
Smiles from blonde hair
and blues eyes,
,lifts golden locks
wind blown ,
thoughts abound.
The soft caress,
a touch of Spring
warm Zephyrs,
as she dons his ring.
Cold,windswept ,
dark breezes,of the city
The winds which lurking,prowl,
have no heart
nor pity.
Wanting eyes hunger,
for the music,
of wind,
blown,through the trees.
Through out the city,
shadows,
as cast on a cool breeze.

Your lyrical juices were flowing like a river, and that river brought soft sweet images. Fantastic write, Jim, my friend

I don't know what to say...I'm not really a poet critic, but I REALLY enjoyed reading this poem. It painted a picture in my mind and filled my heart with nostalgia. But I don't know how or why. I just liked it....a LOT.

Hey, Jim, to play in the freedom of the wind, I like it. Good.

Creative use of imagery. This poem begs for more than one reading which I enjoyed doing. The short lines work well in this piece. Thank you for sharing your talent with us and for your kind words on my poem. Keep up the good writing! Karen

So great to read you again Jim! Well, you are like a warm breeze, delightful and refreshing as early Spring. An incredible write (of course). No, there is no pity in the wind, nor no heart when it blows cold and dark in the shadows. Love your imagery. Have missed you and your awesome poetry. Spring is here and soon the breezes will carry warmth and hope of all new possibilities. Love, Shar
