A Losing Battle

Words, words everywhere
and not a thing to write
I think I'll throw away my pen
and just give up the fight!

Just lay it down for a few moments. Too much talent to throw that thing away. God Bless. Vince

Robin, YOU don't need to search for words; they come to you quickly! I love the angst you express. Perhaps it was an attack of writer's block but you're so prolific, that's not likely. My best to you! Carolyn

Got a ambulance and cop car outside, someone got stabbed. Nothing new around here. These people here in this Mobile Home Park can really stir some crap. I've tried my best to keep this place respectable, I even got rid of over 15 crackheads in a little over a year since I took over, but if I get rid of the drunks, this place would go under. I'll write more later. Lawrence in Lou. Ky

There's not a thing wrong with this short one. It's a nice itty bitty one. We've all been there..sometimes I'll just write 2 words down or a short or long verse and it may sit around from one day until a year and then all of a sudden..zip zam! everything falls in place. Like that one lyric I wrote recently: Stand In Line; all I had written down is two words: Get Gone. Those words laid around for two days and bam! there it came. It's amazing what people dream up. I love this one here. keep it up

You see, even not knowing what to write about is in itself something to write about. Very well expressed. Michael

But you didn't! Instead, you found the words. Playful rhyme, Robin. Ruben.

I had that same feeling this week! (Hence...the last poem I wrote). I think we all stuggle during our "empty" spell....then, somehow it passes..(at least I hope so!! :)

Writers block, UGGGGG..... things flow for me alot but I know from personal experience that when that annoying feeling will not leave you alone and nothing comes out right, sometimes if I am writing with paper and pen, I go to George, my computer...and before long I am released of what is on my mind(sometimes the very act of typing can bring it out) (in me anyway) and this also works vice versa :) Hopefully it will help, a different atmosphere can also release it :) Have a nice evening, Lucinda
