Just a Bagatelle

Desperate to believe,
Fell under a sweet spell
Then asked, ‘Does he deceive?’
And rang the alarm bell.
A mesh easy to weave
And quick to unravel.
I think it’s time to leave,
Finally say farewell.
No permission to grieve,
T’was a mere bagatelle.

Sometimes you can too early ring that bell on the simple bagatelle, but not as a rule. I like the brevity of this piece....clever. Congrats on the selection. Love, daver
