pink bliss flares,
Purple slumber settles.
Moon is unaware of the tide below.
Tears squeeze from the anxious sky, spill on
nervous springs. Thunder shakes a sobbing womb.
Water breaks (from hidden depths) in delusional deluge.
Crusted mud howls frantic sufferings, twists on agonies.
Gilded bedrock cracks in twain, damp and wailing.
And then – finally – she explodes;
in the dawn
