Precise similarity bestowed by you
It seems like everyday shades your form
A shadow engulfing light, reluctant mystery
Impossibilities. I name thee thy name.
For even your scent of woman enwraps
What I have seen, heard, touched, smelled
And tasted…by you.
Be gone! – …nay stay – Alas, I am luminosity.
Soothed by darkness, fearless to not leave
I cool aside ‘Impossibilities’ until I retaliate.
A light of your shadow is not feared by the departure of me
Yet the arrival to her “wide arms spread” heart where she melts
Is segregated; for I am one with light and shadow
What I have seen, heard, touched, smelled and tasted
Was ecstasy alive, but what I couldn’t have been
The shadow protecting your light.
