The Miserable Man

The Miserable Man

His head hanging down,
His face wearing a permanent frown.
Some regard him as a pathetic clown.
Life must have fed him a bitter pill,
For he only speaks of ill.
It seems as if he has been dealt a rotten hand,
His face has been kicked full of sand.
Empty is his soul,
His heart has hardened like a chunk of coal.

This is so sad Stephen, I wonder how many people live totally dejected by life. Probably many more than we'd like to think. Laurie
