Nice Church Dinner

Fried chicken and warm corn bread
Greasy fingered lips
Fellowshipping church members
Eating and talking
With sweet iced tea, they
Royally—
Dined!

The simplest of food can be the best, but it's not about the food it's on how you take in what you have and make the best of it that's how happiness is created lol, "royally dined", love it, enjoyed your write.. P.D.

I had a few of them church dinners as well, every wednesday at our church the women's group come together and cook up a lovely dinner. This is for sale to help raise funds for the women's missions. Lovely kentucky style fried chicken, rice and peas, coleslaw, and a few vegetables. Nice just writing about it. Abe

Hey to you, Joseph! This sounds like a hearty dinner...most certainly conversation was the main course. I'll have to check to see if there are any harvest suppers happening near here. Last one I went to had apple dumpling for dessert(with hot caramel sauce:) I'll have to con Nick into coming along for a drive..not an easy feat now. Shame on you, for writing these decadent poems!:) Not so shameful, at all! I'm hoping you'll have a wonderful weekend! As always, wishing you and yours the best! Mikki

LOL ... thanks so much for your comments on my Etheree ... I've been meaning to do one of these again soon. Thanks for inventing this form ... its a fun challenge!

Hi Joseph - Joseph my friend - Always the blessing you are - I commented to the young lady below trying to be as diplomatic as possible - She has been rather rude to many members and I'm trying to reach her though I doubt that my efforts will do anything but cause an uproar - I love your poetry as I love you and your family brother - God Bless
