Curtains

No matter the matter
everyone is madder
I hope things work out for the better
still my tears are wetter
is there no better weather?

Up ahead is a stop
will it ever lighten up
or will the sun simply stop
when the world has given up

No more mister
I can't muster
let things fester
and they will always pester
Hear from your God yet, Sister?

I've seen the final curtain
and one thing remains for certain
I will stay here and be more certain
that I will be under the falling curtain
