The Game

Is there no one out there?
Anyone that may be able to help
I don’t suppose so because
All out there care for themselves

I open up to all there is
To all that show they care
But it is to no avail
Because I still remain alone

People play with me because
They think it’s funny
Now I have become black
With despise and hate

All I wanted was someone to love me
Someone to say can I help you
Until one shows me they care
There will be hell to pay

Since I am the heart
Try to cross me if you dare
I control life because
I am the most essential part

This is all I've been feeling lately, but you have to know you are not alone in the world and good people maybe harder to find but when they are found they are worth more then you can imaging. There are friendships waiting to be made, but some people just don't know how to, and are left in a corner feeling alone, like in your poem. I share your pain and applaud this write, that describes myself so beautifully. But remember the world can hold good if you just look in the right place! ~Jenny~

'...I have become black,' ...powerful phrasing. As long as you are true to yourself no one can harm you... Well done Steve! Keith

hi Steve, this poem is full of passion and pain, believe me I have been where you are now, wondering why, I end up hurt and alone, but don't make someone else pay for what others have done, just stop looking for love and let it find you, great write and thanks for your comments, on walk on by, take care D-nyce
