He Dreams Despite My Screams
If only he could see my pain
and know it's shadow's near.
If only he could smell the rain
of salty tears I smear.
If by chance his sorrow grew
like ivy's green disguise,
and choked the life he held onto,
then would he realize?
Take me where I may transcend,
or make me to dissolve!
I pray most humbly to ascend,
if my sin you won't absolve!
If only he would wake to see
these eyes so trite and stark.
The truth is he does suffer me,
And leaves me with the dark.
