Stacey your descriptions are so exacting you feel like you are right with your family on the porch. Every word fitting perfectly into its place. I love this....I have written two poems for my mom: She Used to Cry and I love You Mom. My mom is 85 and she has dementia. This has been a very difficult time and winter always seems worse. This is beautiful. Great job Ms. Maysville. loveudo Laurie

Congrats on this feature. It seems old folks - I'm one of them - gradually, in spite of anything, go gradually out-of-body....no mantra needed, no religious perspective. In a way this is wonderful, in a way tragic. Love, daver

This poem moves me and leaves me speechless ... smile ... I live in a senior community with a hundred other "Muriels". As one of the youngest, I have lots of teachers who are guiding me through the process of aging which you have surely captured beautifully ... perhaps not with your camera but surely with your words!! What an incredible poem! Congratulations to you and your wonderful writing!!
