This Life I Am

I stood there and watched,
as this life passed me by.
I slowly cut away
every bit of pain with
this dull knife.

No longer does it hurt
no longer do I feel.
The saddness slowly seeped
into this shattered heart.

The confusion of this life.
Is it me I stare at in the mirror
or some stranger that shouldnt be.

What has become of the innocent
girl that was once filled with
love and happiness.

Now only a ghost to this broken
heart.
I cant seem to find that
girl I once was.
Now all I see is a girl
who cant find a way to
breathe.
The air goes in,
nothing seems to me
the same.

What has become of this life
I am.
