Fate
How often do we ease
Into the comfort zone,
And so take for granted
What we believe we own,
When in reality
There’s no ownership at all,
It’s deepness of our love
Which makes a harder fall,
And it could have been avoided
If a left turn ‘stead of right,
But we can’t read the future
For there is no warning light,
So as the minutes tick by
We come to realize too late,
That all the ‘what ifs’ in the world,
Will never alter fate.
