I will walk still

Every step I made
seemed to talk,
like crushed dead leaves
beneath my feet.

Howling trees
that waved,
wanting my footprints
to be swayed.

But I'm walking,
I will walk still,
through your twisted
path and bitter pill.

This is very deep and brings all kinds of thoughts to mind. It sounds as if you have remained strong, keeping one foot in front of the other, through good or troubled times? nicely done, Ann! ~ Carrie

Every step of the way is a lesson learned...calm yet powerful... It's great to know that regardless of the 'where' or 'when', human feelings remain universal... & thank you for comments on my poem...Take care..
