Held

Held

One became two,
The number there did form,
The multiplicative inverse of all structure,
That’s what my teachers were getting at that day.
They stamped their feats and demanded closure,
did they not?
For closure never comes – it just keeps evolving opening further doors – enveloping plans
and schemes, occluding them, softening their jagged edges, see – I liken faith to the
light within your refrigerator – always on it seems when the door is open, when the
request you ask is summoned; but is it on within when the door is shut? At say 3 am when
the motor hums and all seems well? When your ghosts come and hug your for warmth – when
all is lost in darkness? Walk toward God the same way and challenge holy rite to port
illuminate your life – now onto doors command the brilliant to the bland;
Move your trembling hand across your kitchen floor—see your soul spill forth in love, in
solace, in  faith.
Held.
