Imprint

Imprint

This started out complete,
I tritely sought solution to my neighbor’s
Dull attempt to walk across my eyes;
They, those Brother’s mine, those who seek
The moral imperative of causation, those who
Seem diminished by the illusive movement
Of all they aspire to retain – an imprint soul
seeks eye, it spins a golden tapestry upon what we
Call salvation, freedom, love – Three concepts of all
one seeks. There are no boundaries, no bleak solitudes,
No longing, no desire, no time, nothing required but
This fragile, stolid moment – only you and your
Requests revealed in the wake of the circumstance you
Seek; for your desire has brought this all a jumble;
You have turned these gifts inside out, you have taken
All a burden and bound them in a sack like diamonds; someday strewn bleakness bound, to
set them sterling
Bright and watch them rise and fall at night; close your
eyes the imprint’s value’s true, a sterling pattern’s dream upon your eyelids, all to pull
you through…
