When Wonders Cease

Your's is ev'ry mystery,
matter, far beyond your means,
an unsound simplicity
defining all existence.
For Eternity shall mourn,
in quietude, as it cleans
the smear of Humanity's
prints from infinite distance;
long after you have all breached
the line of your extinction,
sorrowful loss of your grasp,
your thoughts born of perceptions,
the Cosmos will continue
with it's ceaseless expansion,
imprinted, for all time, by
Genius of your conceptions.

Oh, how easy it might be
to turn inward and embrace
the immediate demand
of senses 'pon your being,
nothing but watchmakers, or
breeders of pidgeons to race,
but, please, you must gaze outward,
describe all; that is seeing!
Your lives, gloriously spent
in an effort to behold,
while granted the perfection
of perishable status.
'gainst the heat of your moment,
you'll reach into the Void's cold,
and, touch Beginning and End,
for with you's when all wonders cease.
