The Man in the Moon

The Man in the moon
With the smiling face
Appeared through clouds
Of tattered lace

He blew a kiss
To the twinkling stars
And gave a wink
To his good friend Mars

Filled his glass
from the milky way
To give to the sun
At the break of day

Tipped his hat
To Venus so bright
Most regal star
That shone in the night

Silvery orb that
hangs in sky
Lives eternal
As years go by

When we die
And leave this earth
 Others will claim
Their rightful birth

That mystery moon
Will still abide
And change its
Rythmn with trembling tide
