Winter nights of chilled repose shall bring
Wandering thoughts of colors filled with spring
But, for now, it is the rage and wonder
Slowly hiding dirty deeds asunder
Shall you wish for story tales of old,
beneath the blankets, thrusting out the cold?
What shall the mood of falling snow concede?
If all you wish is winter’s rushed reprieve?
For cocoa sips so well in winters chill!
Whilst the snowflakes lick the windowsill!
Spring lies dormant under downy fields
Captured in the might that winter yields
So sleep, I say to Spring’s unraveled weave!
Whilst I enjoy a winter’s dream conceived
For all too soon you’ll have the morning sun
Warming earth when winter’s chill is done!
