Economy's double edge sword...

First,I would like to thank all who commented on my previous blog,"poetry in the classroom",for such wonderful and helpful suggestions...

But,in this write,I'm sorta posing a bit of a question...question being...Have we as a society, created ourself, this economic downturn?...all things considered, enough is never enough right...as we face a higher cost of living,it only seems natural to request or demand a higher wage, but at the same time, doesn't the higher cost eventually get passed onto the consumer?....so in effect, have we as a productive society, priced ourself out of the workplace, where now,it becomes difficult for business to compete in the marketplace?....

It's sort of a metaphorical double edge sword...we demand higher wages, then the cost of consumer goods are adjusted to reflect higher cost to produce...when the demands appear unreasonable versus the companys competitive edge,we find more companys, shutting down and moving elsewhere,to remain viable in the global market....

Somehow,we have to find a middle ground,and ask ourselves,when is enough...enough ?

Thanks again everybody.........peace
