The Bloodstone

How would the world react, too the verity of Al-'Alaq? Would the unbelievers believe, would the dissenters assent, would combatants humble thyselves? I've seen the bloodstone, i've held it many times... i've written about it...discreetly, in a short series called,Laskrizon, many have quested, many have questioned, but,the one thing you cannot ........is doubt, once you behold it's wonderful uniqueness... *sura 96

People of faith attribute much importance in the "sacred texts" which is words that have been revealed to certain people who have either written them or passed them out. Jay, I had to look up bloodstone and learned about a legend that says the bloodstone was formed from the blood of Christ dripping on the green earth and solidifying. It has been used as an amulet to protect against the evil eye and is a symbol of justice. Your poem is obviously very inspiring to me. Thank you for sharing this thought-provoking poem. Always love learning something new and this poem goes to my favorites. Love, Carolyn
