My First Sponsored Contest - Michael Degenhardt's Blog

<P>As many of you now see I actually am sponsoring my first contest. I had hoped it would be easy, but let me say it is hard and it's not even the deadline yet LOL In my reading many poems, I find that while they are all good, there are those which are repetitious. That is why in my contest I am looking for originality of form and style. You must create your own rather than use someone else's style.As an example, I had created what I call a butterfly style whereby the first line has 5 syllables, then 4, then 3, 2,2,2,3,4,5. It makes for an interesting form, visually appealing. However, I am not looking for visual appeal, but more a uniqueness in order to help develop our craft.</P> <P>So, for those of you who entered using forms such as free verse or a form that is completely undefinable, I ask that you please resubmit your entries, as I would hate to overlook a good poem based on it not conforming to the rules of the contest.</P> <P>Thank you all and have a great day! ~ Michael</P>

Mike I love ya but I'd need a non- ADD brain who didn't have bipolar tendencies with a sequencing disorder. I have been trying sedoku and I have made some new nueral connections (grin) We'll see.
