Rules of Atonement
He sent down the stones
So long, long ago
With hopes we would see
And follow the road
The rules He had set
Were etched on the face
Of the stones He had sent
With hopes to replace
The evil
That lurked
Within us all
And so He said, take heed
In actions and all that is done
We all must follow them
Yes, even His Son
Who came, to again guide us
To that path, to that road
With a message to all
To release then the load, of
The evil
That lurked
Within us all
For though evil may be
There is good deeper down
And it’s important we see
So we can find Holy Ground
Where the Father does dwell
Where we can also find home
So with the rules He had sent
We can surely atone
