We Know

When life so bleeds from open wounds Its self-inflicting pain While night pretends to hide the truth We know Our lives are spent in vain As days expose all that which hurts And pains us to reveal The truth which makes us look away We know Our lives were never real It seems we wander blindly on To never touch the sun With dreams suppressed, to never strive We know It’s all, it’s everyone

"While night pretends to hide the truth We know" My favorite line. It is difficult to face the truth, face reality. It is part of being human - consciously or unconsciously, we are exposed to the truth one way or the other. Very interesting, thought-provoking work! Always, Laura
