Imagination challenge! - Crystal Wilkins's Blog

Hey poetrysoupers!
So wheres everyone finding there imagination today?
Heres the picture that is inspiring me today
I thought this picture to be amazing!! The website I got it from had some interesting ideas that were expanded ideas of Einsteins quote "Imagination is more important than knowledge" this was there thoughts on it
"Unfortunately, this perception of reality is not really accepted in most realms of academia, especially in grammar and high school. In most school disciplines, such as math, science and history, students are required to only absorb information and then regurgitate it on an endless number of tests. This is not imagination — this is knowledge. For the most part, when people go to school, they acquire knowledge, but they do not acquire imagination. Perhaps that is why people end up knowing how to do long division, but can’t understand why it’s wrong to eat meat, or how to make something beautiful, or how to understand nature — because school has failed to teach them how to imagine."

Just felt like sharing this with everyone today because I, for one, never heard anything like this before. The brilliant mind has outrageous and outrageous ideas must be shared and all that :) Thank you for your help yesterday on inspiration it really helped and so did alice in wonderland! 
Heres my quote of the day is "It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end."

So I have a challenge for you for anybody is in need of something to do, my challenge to you is too post a poem about the picture above or the picture below about what it means to you, how it made you feel etc. And I will post the winner in tomorrows blog.

Andrea Dietrich Date: 12/28/2010 10:33:00 AM H, Crystal. The first picture reminds me of the 60's. I was still a kid then, but I think you would have enjoyed that era if you love this picture. The second picture is the one I enjoy most. It's really wonderful. I'm babysitting grandkids at the moment. WEll, rather, the cartoon network is babysitting them!
