My conclusion

I have come to the conclusion that we are inadequate... or at least that's how we view ourselves. Have you ever thought it strange the things we do to ourselves? dying our hair, putting paint on nails to make them look different to the more obvious things like plastic surgery or lifts and tucks. Speak to any person and if they answer honestly I'd bet there was stuff they would like to change about themselves. Your probably wondering where this rant came from? Well you see, it's Christmas, that time of giving and all that and I received a ton of make-up, I'm gratefully they thought of me and everything but I'm just wondering what I can do with 30 shades of eye shadow, 4 different lip glosses, 3 lip balms and numerous other make up sets. Me, i usually stick to the basics, mascara  and foundation, vasline if my lips are dry but thats it. So my conclusion is that we are never happy with ourselves and if we are we are vain, humanity sticks sometimes! :)

I stick to eyeliner mascara and lipgloss or natural shade of lipstick during the week.I wear foundation on special occasions,At weekends,especially on nights out i can be more adventurous,yet i hate wearing a mask. .If i'm home or jogging,i love to have a clean face. .and if i had to change something about me. .i choose a flatter'butt' :)..lol. .great blog

Well Crystal since Christmas is a time of giving and sharing.. if u cannot use all the makeup u were given.. how about giving it away to the senior centers in your area who don't have enough income to buy makeup to look pretty any longer or the childrens hospitals ... where little girls are very sick and would enjoy receiving a special gift like this... putting smiles on faces of others is great to see ... u will feel like a million dollars... luv...

Well, I am the opposite, I love make up, especially eyes and lips, I sort of like that pale face and all eyes and lips look, but I agree we do not need large amounts of it, properly applied make up can enhance, but there are times for makeup and times for none, like I do not need it at the gym, or when I am sleeping, don't laugh, I know a girl who puts full makeup to go to bed, now that is vanity... I got one of those huge makeup kits once, I liked about two of the eyeshadows and the rest I never touched.. I think woman should stop looking for their flaws and look for what is beautiful and that begins within~~

oh, about hair coloring, not THAT is a necessity almost! Nearly every woman with some grey in her hair is doing it. And it looks awesome!

Crystal, I hate when I get those huge makeup kits. LIke you, I only use mascara and lipstick and I wear no foundation. Sometimes a touch of eye shadow. Those are good for Regifts. Think of someone in your life that enjoys cosmetics a lot and give that present away to THEM one day. ONe person's junk is another's treasure! Luv, Andrea

Lord those days are long gone, now I only wear makeup when I feel like dressing up. For work and my everyday existence I don't bother , and this hair isn't platinum blond it's pretty much white blending into blond. I used to dye my hair regularly but I decided I kinda like the white/blond and don't miss the re/blond as much anymore. Your priorities change when you get older I think.

Love your blog, Crystal. When I wore no makeup my ex boyfriend used to "bark" at me like I was a dog. (Notice he is an EX.) Now I wear makeup when I wish and don't ascribe to any form of unnecessary surgery. We are what we are -- we can try to hide it, but we can't really. Have a Merry Christmas, Crystal.
