I am a jack of all trades - master of none. Bachelor of Science from Rhodes College in Biology and Master's Degree from Jacksonville State University in Biology Education. I taught biology, chemistry and general sciences and coached at three high schools. I also worked as the Director of Technology for a county school system and as a DJ for WKSR radio in Tennessee for 22 years.
I am now a retired biology teacher, football coach, technology administrator and DJ. I love music, play guitar in an old guy's band (Southern Crossroads Band)

and generally try to enjoy life. Getting old makes it difficult at times. I grew up on a farm and have extremely rural tastes. Hobbies include target shooting, ham radio, song writing, poetry writing, computers and technology and trying to be a good guy. My wife Pam and I have two wonderful children who are both quite successful, and five grandchildren (as of this writing).
I really enjoy the poetry on this site and the nice people I have met here. I love a poem that transports me to another place, helps me understand something....or just makes me think.
Thanks to all the writers who share on this site.
