There is always a hope

Confined to this 'labyrinth'
Every hope seems lost;
Every vision looks muddy and shadowy
Every dream, squashed
Insomnia has become your nocturnal companion
Keeping you all night awake.

You've become estranged from your ‘partner’
Repudiated by your own ‘kids’
Family has deserted you;
Friends have vanished
In every step to walk a tightrope
Death seems like abandonment option.

You’re awaken before the midnight sun
Your face in the mirror
Whose face is in the mirror?
Certainly not yours, you conjectured!
All you see is a shadow of you
A remnant of what your travails have left for you
Should you need it someday.

But there is always a hope
Always feel the warmth of God in your heart
Never resign to self-pity;
Conquer force to defeat defeatism
Keep alive the hope for eternity
The belief in the power of salvation
Picture a shining light in every of your dark state
Aim at exhausting the inexhaustible perseverance in you
Never flee from this 'hope' that binds future, present and past
There can be nowhere from this 'hope' you want to run off.
