Spring Naps Timely

cherry blossoms dainty pink
flirt and play in April rain
drowsy from late spring fatigue
sleep tight in green grass

     Stretched out,
     On a daycare cot.
     Told to take a nap,
     Didn't want to!
     A lot!
     I might miss something,
     So didn't make a peep.

Napoleon stretching, waking,
Naiad naughty and quite faking,
Nipper so, so hesitating.
Natural love warmth they're bringing. 
Need their sunshine and most loving,
Needed snuggles as they're shoving,
Nipping, to get away; rushing.
Nuisance at times, but adoring.
Nap time once more they'll be taking;
Nymph of nature when they're crashing.

Snoring On Both Sides of Me

Snoring is happening on both sides of me.
Two dogs, two snoring creatures.
It sounds delectable and delightful.
I type as fast as I can, thinking of a good nap.

Crazy that when I was younger, I despised them
And now I live for them; I love them.
I cannot get enough of them.
