*** RULES FOR HAPPINESS***

Hello Friends!

I thought I should share this list of rules for Happiness some mental workers put together.
Happiness - such a broad and abstract but, yet, such an important notion for the simple human being...
Which of this rules give you difficutly to deal with? Explain why and what are you going to do about it :)


1) Do not blame others for making you unhappy. Take responsibility for making yourself happy.

2) Give yourself permission to make yourself happy. - even if in doing so, others make themselves unhappy.

3) Do things for others and your community without expecting anything back in return.

4) Sacrifice short-term pleasures and put up with short-term discomforts in order to achieve         long-term gains.

5) Accept the fallibility of others and yourself.

6) Don't take things personally.

7) Take a chance even when you might fail at things at work or in your personal relationships.

8) It does not matter so much what people think about you and what you are doing.

9)See uncertainty as a challenge - do not be afraid of it.

10) Make time for yourself to do things which bring you pleasure and enjoyment in the short-term.

well, I don't see anyone doing what you asked, so I'll just start first: sometimes I take things personally (number 6) but I've been working on that one. 7 can be a little hard for me but when I am forced to change in my job, for example, I usually adapt quickly. I enjoy the status quo and don't like to rock the boat, and so I will stay with things forever even if they don't make me utterly happy. Other than that, most of these rules are not difficult for me!
