4 A M. Insomnia, you brutal fiend.

It's occurred to me this morning that I don't know what I don't know, ya know?

You ever thought about that?  There is that fleeting moment when you almost thought you knew it, but not. I know one thing for sure, and that's that I don't know what I don't know. If I knew it, then I'd know. But I don't. It's bothersome. Because you're born with an innate desire to know stuff. You're born with a hunger to learn. It really bothers me that I don't know something. I mean it kinda bothers me that I don't know Greek, or Russian. But I know that I don't know that. See what I mean? I don't know how to make a  lithium battery. But I know that I don't know how to do that. You see what I mean?

So the thing that's bothering me this morning is that I don't know what I don't know. How do you even define that? I don't know. It's actually kind of scary to know that you don't even know what you don't know. I wish I didn't know that, ya know? And here's another thing; we all know people that think they know what they don't know. But when you listen to em, you realize they don't know. I started to say they don't know their butt from a hole in the ground, but how can you not know that one? That's scary too. Especially if . . Well never mind. But if you didn't know your butt from a hole in the ground, would you know that you didn't know? Probably not, but everyone else would. Yep there goes that guy that doesn't know his butt from a hole in the ground, but don't tell him. We wouldn't want to hurt his feelings. What?!! I'd want to tell him. Help a brother out ya know? But I digress.

So it bothers me that I don't know what I don't know. I know I can't play a cello. But I know that. It doesn't bother me really. I know I've never eaten raw zebra meat. That doesn't bother me because I know I don't know what it tastes like. But what bothers me is simply that I don't know what I don't know. Ya know?

Oh well I suppose it's good that I'm not a know it all.  I wish I was at least a know it some. Or maybe a know it a little bit. But that just doesn't have a good ring to it huh? Could be a know nothing? Funny how we are such extremists. Either a know it all or a know nothing. Why isn't there a description for the rest of us? I guess I'm just a he doesn't even know what he doesn't know? 

Oh well what I really meant to say was

Good Morning! Oh by the way. Go read some of my poetry. Leave me feedback. Stroke my ego. Or  . . . . . . . .

I love this Kelly!.......but u know what? tht's wht insomnia does, gives u too much time to think, so ur thoughts go all over the freeking place!

Cute blog, Kelly. When I get time, I will try to remember to read a poem of yours. When I get a dropby, I always rush to read that poet's poem. I am a bit behind in my comments.For sure you are gonna see me today, because you are on my list as someone to comment back to this afternoon!

I know life is great when its not sucking. I know I can ride a horse if its not bucking. I know pretty women are treasures to behold. I know they are even better to hold. I don't know how much time I have got. I do know that it often bothers me a lot. I know life is great when its not sucking.

Everyone knows a little. Some know a little bit more but act like they know it all. Those are the ones who let themselves open for a fall. Kelly, be glad that you don't know what you don't know, because if you knew all that, no one would be able to stroke your ego. What do you know about that?

I don't know if I'm glad j don't know. But I do know about ego. Mine is generally the worst in the room. I wish I didn't know that.
