Hello friends.My name is Sylvia but everyone knows me as June-see Who is Sylvia-I am 63, married 45 years to my Pete 75.We have 3 children & 9 Grandchildren.

I'm from Kent,England.Raised in 8 childrens homes and 5 foster homes.So family life,everything.Wrote poetry from age 6 not encouraged.Picked up later years.No qualifications.Wanted to be an actress.Met Pete, found love, ambition gone, had my family.

I love life but am seriously ill-will share-Had a blood transfusion 1965,unknowingly contaminated-Hep C-diagnosed 1995.Meantime damaged my liver and immune system.Treament for a cure acted like a poison,rare but happens.resulting in neurological damage,so not very physical.Use a wheelchair when out.H.C led to cirrhosis and now a type of Lymphoma-cancer- in my bone marrow.

I tell you all this because I want to thank you so much.Every one has problems,I feel Soup inspires and cares for others and is a wonderful addition to peoples lives and you have added to the quality of mine. 

To finish for now.I can be intensely serious,deep thinker,and yet full of fun with a wicked sense of humour.I have many iterests-music,drama, reading,card-making among them.And of course poetry.

I love God intensely,my family, love my fellow man, and now I love you lotThank you once again. June x

Hi again June, Thank you for all the lovely messages you have left me. I could tell you are a very nice lady and reading your blog confirmed it. I admire the fact you seem to keep so upbeat, despite everything you mention in your blog (hope i'm not out of line with that). Going off your blog I'd say your proof that even if you dont have the best luck in life you can still do and enjoy so much.I'm only in my mid 20's but hope in forty odd years i can still be with my partner as you are. Your poetry is excellent and genuinely enjoyable to read june...I look forward to reading more! :)

Dear Sylvia, we are blessed by your presence here on Poetry Soup. Indeed, there are many kind and compassionate people on this site. While I am delighted to hear you have had such a wonderful, successful marriage, it is disheartening to learn that blood transfusion brought illness to your life. So many people here need prayers and sometimes when we all pray in unison, miracles happen. I had a cancer scare last summer that could have gone either way, but I do believe prayers from our fellow Soupers helped produce positive results. Hi all.Thank you all you beautiful people.I love reading your poetry,and sharing mine with you.I have read such awe-inspiring work by yourselves.And I have had such great laughs.And I know I will continue to do so.Remember me in your prayers I'd like that.Fortunately I have a deep abiding Faith in and Love for God. I know someone has been looking after me all my life.I wish you all peace and love.But will end on a light note from one of my own witticisms-To Bitch is human to try not to is Divine. June x
