True Love

A love that is not given freely,
is no love at all.

A love that is wanting,
is a love that is wasted.

A love that has a price upon it,
cannot be returned.

A love that is freely shared and given,
is a love that will last forever.

Very good write. This work could be a 'sister piece' to a poem I wrote called "Lessons in Love", very similar message. Great job. Congratulations on being featured by Poetry Soup this week...............S.Ronthorpe.

I'm here again, you need someone to inspire and give you a boost. How about another of these wise poems that cause people to reflect on what's happening in their lives?

Dear Richard, your warings finally burst into a positive song. So much goes wrong in love and how sour it can turn when only a few words could work magic. Just so special! :)
