MEET THE TAX MAN

A devious insurance man named
Max, became a billionaire,
Many moons ago, was only known
As a millionaire,
Now in express mode to become
A trillionaire,
An innocuous looking man knocked
On this billionaire’s
Door, said he was a Tax Officer who
Dealt with non-payment of taxes,
Being a bit of a nerd, the rich man
Immediately collapses,
The taxman asked, do you know
Why I’m here,
No, but it is to do with
My money I fear,
Seems you don’t understand,
Take my advice, stop thinking of
It as your money, it is now ours.

Oh yes the tax man will take what is his and what is his is whatever he says is his! Makes me glad I'm not a billionaire~

So easy to deceive people to become rich and then die, leaving everything behind him. Too many such fools around.

The tax man has come straight to his point. Again there is no room for argument or pleading. Tax collectors are a threat to millionaires. An interesting poem with a serious content, but dealt in a light hearted manner. Enjoyed reading it.

For sure! The insurance man needs to get it straight!

I think the 'tax man' sees everyone's money as theirs/the government's. Well said and truthful despite the light tone of your poem. Have a pleasant evening, Sara

I value the cleverness and underlying message in this piece. The poem provides a savvy and hysterical take on the intricate relationship among assets, authority, and taxation. The tale skillfully highlights the predatory practices of financial companies through a shrewdly crafted chart involving a cunning tax auditor and a wealthy man

Hello my friend, I love the humour and underlying message here.. It presents a witty and satirical take on the dynamics of wealth, power, and taxation. Through a clever narrative involving a devious tax officer and a billionaire named Max and highlights the absurdity and sometimes predatory nature of financial systems.
