Did anyone notice "scorcher" seems to be this summer's word for the weather, and its the correct descripter.

Its hotter than usual, and my skin and lungs feel instantly scorched when I go outside.

I'm looking forward to swimming in the cold Atlantic ocean to really cool off.  That moment when the cold waves close over your head and all of you is......cool.

I live in Florida so we go to the springs. We were on the river for the fourth and decided to travel further down to the gulf of mexico and I have to say I'd rather swim in fresh water any day. We weren't in that salt water ten minutes and everybody why we left the fresh spring water. Unfortunately we didn't see any manatees that day. I hate Florida because of teh heat we are planning to move further north in a few years.

I think it's going to be getting hotter and hotter in certain places! I enjoyed this blog. Love the idea of cooling ocean waves!!

Mandy i was a boy in Gateshead...and I can remember not seeing the sun for months, even in non-rainy weather...............i think they abolished Gateshead long after I left.....hahaha

Gosh where do you live we have not seen the sun yet it seems for weeks and it has done nothing but rain. We all now have our own pools in the garden, they used to be called lawns. (England )xx
