sizzling sun

   sizzling sun,
    scorching heat
    waves of Loo
    ripple on umbrella 
    igniting fire of mind
    

You'Re No Good For Me

Closed off heart
when you came around.
Persistent you were
with your primitive tongue.
Sweet lies lined your foreign lips—
Surprise. The soul wanted in and considered this.   

Red flags—waved in the wind.
So many, but who was counting.
Those who live long say ‘Life is Short’. 
I say—
Adventure is a reward to the seeker who sought.
No need to fear

Sizzling Hot

Steamy and sizzling
Hot and humidity running all through the body
There were urges, strong urges
The need for intimacy
Love on the mind
There was desire with no turn down
Temperature was rising beyond 
The fire was ready to ignite
Romance day and night
Loins were level up
Interlude decree
I wanted to just let go
But knew I had to take it nice and

In Sizzling Soup

They spent many happy years of married life,
hard of hearing he heard the shout of his wife.
She once told buy potato,
he bought bagful tomato,
found himself sunk in the sizzling soup of strife.

Sizzling Tree Woman

Sizzling tree woman
stomping through the forest
putting roots down hard
shaking up the elms and the oaks

Sizzling tree woman
making your presence felt
stirring up the forest
frightening the deer

Sizzling tree woman, I fear you.
Do you have a sister?
I know a brazen mulberry who needs taming.

a hot summer's day
refreshing watermelon
a soothing sea breeze

Sizzling Hot Summer Days

Summer stands for beaches, parks, and camping.
In June most flowers will be in full bloom,  
Zinnias, Begonias, and sweet-scented
Zephyranthes share every color, while
Lavender freshens the air with each breeze. 
In July, a thirsty sun sips dewdrops,
Night deposited upon the moist blades of
Grass that now sparkle in dawn's breaking light.

Hot, humid, and sultry, describe August's

Sizzling Hot

On a hot summer’s day nearly forty degree,
Ageing couple sprawled under an oak tree,
said she with a shy toothless grin,
“If you really wish I will let you sin”,
“No, my dear” he said “I prefer a cup of tea!”

The Sizzling Sun

The sun is blazing in the blue sky above
the temperature is rising by the hour
oh how higher can it rise
so hot there is a haze
I water plants
dry
oh so thirsty
yet they seem happy
they love this hazy heat
a cooling breeze comes to cool them
how is it that nature knows what to do?

Sizzling Surprises 

I’m ruminating here on this promenade of sizzling surprises.
I’m sitting here, watching the living denizens walk on by.
None of these sentient beings ever look at me, 
Never see or acknowledge me, not for one second,
Never say even one word to me, as I sit half dead here,
On this hardened beaten park bench.
