A Broken Soul

Oh, my little angel, looking into your 
eyes wasn’t easy as you always had 
them closed,
Happy and peaceful as you enjoyed 
your afternoon doze,
I wonder as I wander through this 
busy world,
Why do my arms yearn to spin you 
around in a dancing twirl?

As I recall the voices of you and your
friends from the birthday

Let the Cowboys be, in pastures new!

Cowboys
Let the cowboys be…
Let them tend to causes....genuine and real
To bequeath…an opportunity to be authentic.
To bequeath…a shot at redemption
To weed the errant and replant in ravines, chasms
In pastures new…
….the errant cowboys, 
…..burdensome, irksome, oppressive…too much
….for sale, with privileges too plentiful
…..the ones acting out.. avaricious mode aplenty
……one too many errors 
……. lives not to be trampled

When the Lord of all
Calls you His own
When He is your great Shepherd
You'll never be alone
For when you lose your way
Or from the fold you stray
He Will find you and carry you home. 

You will never want
There's nothing more you need
He gives you peace and rest
In pastures so green
He knows when you thirst
To living waters

Lay Me Down in Green Pastures

Visions of what used to be 

Comes to set my spirit free

The distant past is fading fast

As the warm earth covers me

The two of us that once was we

The children I no longer see

Pretty pink and purple poppies
 perfume peaceful pastures and
 prance into picturesque poses.
 Proud patterns in pale light 
paint playful pictures
 in dust particles like
 pinpricks of precise punctuation. 
Promises are preached, pondered, prayed for 
and proven in this patient pastime.
 Pushed, pulled, put and pardoned
 by a precious and pure performance
 in her powerful

surround a bleak white framework
figuratively.

Dusk Painted Pastures

A dwindling light threads the dimming woods
into mist-coated shadows.
A stretch of gray-sheened water
reflects the phantom forms of homing wings,
skimming birds that must seek now
                  a dark cradle of shelter.

The sun has drowned
yet still rides a rippling after-image.

Of moisture on a far horizon 

Releasing
	Faint memories of a fabled rain

Memories of memories
Unable to describe

        the scent 
        of something
Long absent

Memories of temporality 
    

Dry Pastures In the Backwoods

Oxes paste mirage
     in semi-árid pasture
     of apparent plant,,,

It Leadeth Me Not To Green Pastures

My mask doth not inspire
  It maketh me perspire

Restricts my respiration
  Foileth my aspirations  

Causeth naught but aggravation
  Leadeth me to consternation

Running In the Pastures of This World I Am God Little Lamb-

Running in the pastures 
Running in this world 
Running running through the pastures 
A little lamb 
That I am 
So thankful 
O' Lord God 
You are a good shepherd 
You are my shepherd 
And you protect me 
Guide Me 
Hide me
... from the dangers of this world

Verdant Pastures

Horses in battle with valor showed
 In ancient times when conflicts rose
 On mighty steeds warriors rode
 Swords at the ready to vanquish foes

 Modern battles by machines are run
 Which allowed the equines to have more fun
 Running wild running free
 Enjoying a new destiny

 In verdant pastures horses roam
 Grazing under azure skies
