Once Upon A Time

Still a child at heart
tho' older are some other parts

I do something.
I found three mice,
surprisingly easy to catch, like they

The Owl, Though Some Think It Is Wise

The owl, though some think it is wise,
Finds mice far more tasty than pies.
In matters of taste
Its judgment erased,
Its fees are too high, I surmise. 

Woolly Bully Mice

Huge woolly mammoths have long been extinct
Why create creatures that are to T-Rex linked? 
They were frozen in ice
Don't remake them from mice
Am I clear or should I be more succinct?

Of Mice and Men REVIISED

I thought to write about my High School Social Studies 
book report. An uncomplicated short story about the 
lives of two characters who like to take life the short and 
easy way. I decided to write it as a narrative, showcasing 
the simple characters as carefree drifters. Near the end, 
the lives that they made

Mice should be able to 
speak louder or 
speak higher than 
traffic sounds. 

Of mice men a parallax view

Why’d you dig that hole George, 
are there rabbits down there?

like me they’re in despair

Mice and Men

The best laid plans once were made
by mice and men, I'm afraid.
"Oh my God, what have we done?"
asked the somewhat larger one.  
"Human is as human does", 
said the little ball of fuzz.

Fleas, Lice, Spiders, Mice

I like spiders and I like black ants.
For fleas and lice, I take another stance.
Sometimes, I wonder if they admire us.
The same question goes for a virus.

Neither foolish fleas and lice, spread by mice, 
Nor black ants and spiders, heed my advice.
Disgusting dirt and dust cannot defend

My life is made up of so many stages.

There is no uniform rhyme or reason..
Maybe luck from a coin in the Trevi Fountain,
Will change a mouse into a vast

I am a mouse, catatonic with fear;
just trying to stay still and silent,
to survive.

Batted about by an indifferent cat;
for him a lazy afternoon,
for me an aching lifetime.

It has no idea of the torture it inflicts;
no inkling of the consequences,
of its area-of-effect play.
(But he has a plan.)
