I WAS ME

First I was me,

Selfish as can be,

Wanting everything from A to Z

And wanting it all for me.

Then I became we,

A part of an us.

I learned to share, give and take

I learned how to trust.

Next I was you,

Believe me it's true.

I would rather give than receive,

It was you I wanted to please.

Now I am them,

A family man.

Giving my children,

All that I can.

If you look real close,

It is easy to see,

I am older and wiser,

And no longer a me.

Ha Joe, I did wonder if I was adult enough to go for it but then I saw how you responded to those very harsh words, which i thought admirable, and I knew you were probably pulling a fast one (English for joke) so I gave it a go and thank goodness I was right about you . loved it xx

Deb, it was suggested to me that a title with a warning like that would be a magnet to some folks. I bet many have taken a peek inside but are to embarrassed to admit it with a post. Curiousity is not necesarilly a bad thing.

Why you cute lil stinker, you! Ha Ha! I LOVE this song, if its the one I think is... Listen children to a story... one of my faves. Hey, I did just write something explicit, but I hope somewhat tasteful. Hey, its cold in Canada. We keep warm the old fashioned way :) Hugs Cyndi

Cyndi, click on the link below the saying and you can hear the song for yourself.

Cyndi, last time I typed the words, ADULTS ONLY - I ended up in the middle of controversy. So, I couldn't help myself from making a few folks' blood pressure soar by seeing a warning like that again. I know, I know, I am a baaaaaaaad boy. Now I need to go find your poem - it's a little col her, too.

Fell for it hook, line and sinker Joe!...I put that little gem on my internet fav's list for further viewing...wasn't the song the theme to 'Billy Jack?'

You got it right, Tim - Billy Jack - an old classic. The acting is so bad in that movie, you have just got to love it. Gives it almost a documentary quality.

I knew it was gonna be a joke and just had to come and see what folks said!! For sure, it's the adults who need to learn peace and TEACH it to all!!

I am glad you trusted me Andrea! You know me for the mild-mannered, harmless guy that I am. And yes, Adults need that Explicit reminder!

Also, one of my all-time favorites - both the movie and the song. Sometimes, I ... Just ... Go ... BERSERK!!!
