Chris, I found the quotes very interesting and I've heard of this stuff before. I especially liked the quote of Ghandi. So true! that guy could have been a comedian.

The idea of heaven or some kind of afterlife spooks me a little...I think it comes from our fear of death and the unknown...it is foolish and arrogant for someone to believe they have inherited the right to 'eternal life'...anyone who claims they know what happens when we die is babbling idiot...(Only dead people know)...That being said, I DO get down on my knees and pray for God's tender mercy...although I do not deserve it...

just read all the banter on the other blog! it never ceases to amaze me how steamed up people get about religion; religions are only belief systems at the end of the day, so arguing about them is futile...what people believe is based largely on their environment and upbringing, whatever part of the world they happen to live in, and the majority will just keep repeating what has been repeated to them, that's why you find entire families all subscribing to the same belief system and so it goes down through the generations, programming the children...

You think I don't want to read a write from someone I agree with. I just think the topic has been done? It's toasted now.

1 )- I dont understand!! People are as entitled to their opinions as you are, as I am.We should allow them to express how they feel and let it be. And we should remember that it’s all "relative" and a matter of "perspective." What we consider positive can be perceived by another as negative. When we react, it becomes "me"-versus-"you," who is right? Nobody...

2 )- But in this blog, you're not talking about a inner perspective or personal opinion: this is a fact; it's right there inside that history book. People may have an eloquent way of expressing themselves, or not....They may be defensive...offensive, but they are still entitled to do so. They have the right to express their own opinions and we have the right and will power to choose our responses. We can choose peace or we can choose conflict.

People need to believe in what they believe in, and is it too much to ask to have a MONTH where for what ever REASON folks focus on being KIND?? Hey let it go will you Chris you are tilting at windmills. You are not changing anyones mind, its useless at best and distructive at worst. Again I agree with everything you have said but I'm just about the only choir your preaching to here, hey they just added Jesus as a category..god wasn't enough..ni Allah or Sky Father or Yahwah showing up any time soon either..they don't fit the demagraphic.

I am beginning to think that in your spare time, if you have any, you paint your bum red and moon angry bulls. Aren't you the same one who recently cautioned the masses for what they share and not to insite the loonies then did a disappearing act? And I thought that "I" was Puck. Ha. You got me beat. Poking at Americans and Christianity in one large swoop, during the holiday season? Good luck with that :-P Me? I'm staying well away from this fray. But I just had to stop by to show you my dropped jaw and bugged out eyes. HA!
