My first book is doing well, my second is about to be released and I am - Rev. Rebecca Guile Hudson's Blog

in the process of writing my third and fourth books! I just became a premium member, and am looking forward to the benefits.

I really enjoy this site, and appreciate all the comments and feedbacks I have received.

So, here's what's up with my books:

My poem, "Like a Rock", that won first place in one of Poetrysoup's contests is from my first book, "Out of Cullen Street (A House of Madness)", available at the following link:

"Crescent Waltz", which won 5th place in a recent Poetrysoup contests, is from my second book, "Painted Poems (Portraits of New Mexico)", which is set for an April 21st release date, and will be available in bookstores and online. This book also contains 15 of my New Mexico scenery photographs.

My third book (I'm halfway through it), is called "A Serious Attack of the Sillies (No, Seriously!)", but it is my fourth book that has me utterly captivated.

It is called "English As A Foreign Language (With English to English Translations)".  I heard tell that only about 1000 words are regularly used in writing poetry, and I decided that just wasn't enough for me.  I am posting an excerpt from this book (I've written 21 poems with 21 translations in the last week for this book alone, not to mention other poems! I can't believe how feraciously I am poeteezing these days!)

What was that, you say?  "Feraciously poeteezing"? Huh?  Well, that just means I can't believe how prolifically I am writing poems these days!
