a motionless pond reflecting a fragile sky where war once swallowed the sun - blossoms drift like tears skimming over the old wounds doves still fly against the wind

    carrie, this is fantastic. the only thing that kept me from putting it higher was that I looked up the form and it seemed your syllables did not all line up exactly as the form states. Unless I just did not understand it correctly. Anyway, marvelous poem about that horrible event. Congrats in my contest.

    May the pond and the peoples rest in peace.. an introspective poem Carrie.. I'll pulled by the last line to both hope but also how everything below is not as it once was. A very good and powerful write !
