I FELT A TOUCH

I FELT A TOUCH
--------------------
It touched me soft
As a brush strokes
The hairs of my head
Soothed, then smoothed
To a straightened end

A gentle, tranquil sensation
I'd never once embraced
Til the time of this day
We clashed face to face

A remarkable memory
Made it's monument's mark
Upon the lands it light trod
To flaunt the voyage embarked

An ethereal endless epic told
Throughout my temporal tenure
Writes historical classics
Painting ventures unseen
Nor uncovered except
By the sole, live witness
Present the era/day the scene
Illumined with thickness

A misty, mystical, mythical
Melancholy dream
Symmetrically lensed
Amongst the mundane masses

An opalescent obstacle
For the morose eye
Its optometric mountain
Too immense to climb

An empirical event
Embedded in my mind
With heart who won't detach
The touch from right behind

It's my intimate film
Seen up close at first sight
My reminiscent rerun
Which I replay
Through the night
