The truth Has No Hue

Honesty is a glass floor
A see through creation of reality
Made by those with grains of decency
Put under the highest of pressure
This floor supports the weight of our insincere
First it will quiver, then it will crack
And when the floor finally shatters
Will we realize what we have done?

Actually that day came long ago
And we cannot mend things for the mendacious
We cannot clothe the naked truth
We cannot gossip about gospel
We have maxed out the maxims
And all the more sagely could tell us was to hold on
That those who compromise man's very life support
Have actually left humanity with a sparkling windfall
That we should lighten up, engage our extremities
We don't have to tread so carefully, on a purlieu of prisms
Our deceitfulness has only broken down antisocial surfaces
That we should all reflect for a moment
On the tincture in our own cheeks, a tender pink
Without the yellow of our souls, what is God to fear?
Without the red of blood running through our arteries, what is passion?
Our baby blue oceans would never calm a creature, inside or out
The juicy orange that allows us to rise every morning
Would cease to shine and give us personality
Even if we start out green to the true nature of things
It's okay, but don't focus on black and white for long
Rainbows don't last forever, and we the students of life
Should all strive to make that curve

WOW, Karl. I'm in a world, where all I did was speak, and tell the truth. However, it got me no where. Everything, out there, is covered, and will remain that way. this is deep. Enjoyed...Linda

Very deep, Karl. I wonder if the personal pronoun WE is meant for a specific group or humanity in general. Deceitfulness has a way of coming back to the deceiver. Lessons in life, this write has. Thanks for sharing, and for the visit.
