I feel the same way, Rose... Haven't been to Vegas but I've heard of the tinsel and have seen pics of those neon lights....empty promises..You said it best! Love, Annalise

Love it. I went to Reno for a poetry convention and there was nothing to do while waiting for the plane to leave but casinos. You are right, the best part was the cool statues at the entrances.

I so love your title...And gambling isn't my thing either. Especially when your first experience isn't so lucky. enjoyed this one. :) Always a pleasure seeing you stop by!!

I can't bring myself to spend much on gambling. We just got back from Vegas and literally on the last day put 20 in a slot machine and wine 97. That was enough for me. Lots of great shows and I must admit I enjoy checking out the buildings. The lights are also pretty.

Especially in a casino. Fortunately, I learned long ago that gambling was not one of my numerous compulsions. Nice observation... Jack

I believe in nature, and its sad that people try to place a building around the beauty of which nature defines! You poem is significantly wonderful here! I really enjoyed reading this eye-opening poem this evening! What a powerful piece, Great Work!!
